NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois State baseball team has advanced to the title game of the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship, Saturday, May 25 at 7:07 p.m., at Duffy Bass Field. The No. 1-seeded Redbirds will take on No. 2 seed Wichita State, with an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament on the line.

The Redbirds were the outright regular-season MVC champions for the first time in program history this season. A MVC-record eight Redbirds were named first-team all-conference selections, and the Redbirds also received individual honors for Pitcher of the Year Chris Razo, Defensive Player of the Year Brett Kay and Coach of the Year Mark Kingston. Razo will take the mound Saturday night in the championship game.

Illinois State is hosting the MVC Baseball Championship at Duffy Bass Field in Normal for the first time in program history. Fans are encouraged to "Stuff the Duff" and cheer on the Redbirds to a MVC Baseball Championship.

WHERE: Duffy Bass Field, Normal

HOW: Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling the Redbird Ticket Office at 309-438-8000 until 5 p.m. Saturday or in person at main ticket gate behind home plate beginning at 5 p.m.
