Women's Volleyball Sets Record in Classroom

NORMAL, Ill. - For the second consecutive spring, the Illinois State volleyball team earned the highest women's program grade-point average (GPA) following the completion of the 2013 spring semester. The Redbirds posted an impressive 3.66 GPA, once again setting the record for the best academic semester in program history.

Continuing the trend of academic success, the team surpassed its 3.56 GPA from a year ago, which at the time was a record mark for the Redbird volleyball team.

Junior Brooklyn Hlafka and sophomore Eliza Smith posted perfect 4.0 GPA's. They're joined by junior Shannon McGlaughlin, who has maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA throughout her entire collegiate career.
