All home tipoff-times, and most road start-times, for the Illinois State men's basketball team's upcoming 2013-14 season have been finalized and posted here. The Redbirds are slated to host 15 regular-season games on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena, plus an exhibition contest against Quincy to begin the year on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4:35 p.m.
A 2013 Top-25 team, five post-season qualifiers and three in-state rivals highlight ISU's 2013-14 non-conference schedule. The Redbirds will tip off the campaign at 2013 NCAA at-large qualifier Virginia Commonwealth at 6 p.m. CT Friday, Nov. 8. Illinois State will then return to Redbird Arena to begin its home season against Drexel Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:05 p.m.
ISU is scheduled to start the Missouri Valley Conference slate at Missouri State Thursday, Jan. 2 at 7:05 p.m. CT, before hosting Southern Illinois at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5 to start home-conference play. The season will culminate with the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Louis, Mar. 6-9.
2013-14 season tickets are on sale now by calling the Redbird Arena ticket office at (309) 438-8000 or by clicking here. Every game this season will also be broadcast on the WJBC Country Financial Illinois State Radio Network and heard on smart phones via the iHeart Radio app. Television broadcast information will be released at a later date.
The ISU men's basketball team officially begins practice this Monday, Sept. 30.
