ISU Men's Basketball at Loyola Scheduled for ESPN3 Broadcast

ST. LOUIS - ESPN3 will broadcast the Feb. 9 men's basketball matchup in Chicago between Illinois State and newly-added Missouri Valley Conference foe Loyola, the MVC office announced in conjunction with the league's ESPN package Thursday.

ISU's first-ever Valley trip to Loyola's Gentile Arena is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tipoff on Sunday, Feb. 9. It can be viewed worldwide on ESPN3 - ESPN's live multi-screen sports network available online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE and on Apple TV. The Redbirds host the Ramblers on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena Jan. 11 in a game that will mark the first matchup between the in-state rivals since 2004. ISU leads the all-time series, 7-3.

Illinois State could grab further national coverage during the post-season, with the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship game live on CBS for the ninth-consecutive season. The MVC TV Network and Illinois State's institutional television package will be announced at a later date.

The Redbird men's basketball season begins with a home exhibition game against Quincy on Nov. 3 at 4:35 p.m., with live coverage available on RedbirdHD.tv. Season tickets are on sale now by calling the Redbird Arena ticket office at (309) 438-8000 or by clicking here.
