CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team concluded day one of qualifying singles play of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional.
In singles main draw, junior Kadi Ilves received a bye, automatically advancing to the next round before falling to Michigan State's Lexi Baylis, 6-1, 6-2. The duo of Ilves and sophomore Chanel Scudiero will compete Friday in doubles main draw against Youngstown State's Annina Brendel and Nahel Sahni
The ITA tournament will resume at the Atkins Tennis Center Friday at 9 a.m., beginning with round three qualifying singles play, followed by round one qualifying doubles play.
