Rain Causes Changes to ISU's Schedule in Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. - Due to rain that came through the Tampa, Fla., area Friday evening, the Illinois State softball team's schedule at the USF-Wilson DeMarini Tournament has been adjusted. The Redbirds were originally scheduled to play five games at the event, but will instead only play four.

As previously reported, the Redbirds' game against Bethune-Cookman was suspended through five innings, with the Redbirds leading, 4-2. That game will resume at 8:15 a.m., Saturday. ISU's game against Wisconsin that was originally scheduled for 12:45 p.m., CST, Saturday, has been moved up to 11:45 a.m., CST. The Redbirds' contest against No. 25/22 South Florida originally scheduled 5:30 p.m., CST, Saturday, has been cancelled.

Sunday morning's game against No. 5/4 Michigan will still be played at the originally scheduled 8 a.m., CST time.

The Redbirds began play at the tournament with a 3-2 loss to No. 4/3 Florida, Friday.
