BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois State women's tennis team will host I-74 rival, Bradley, at Evergreen Racquet Club on Wednesday, March 26. The match, which was originally scheduled to be played outdoors, has been moved indoors due to inclement weather conditions and is now slated to begin at 1 p.m.
Snow fell in the Bloomington-Normal area last night, causing a change of plans for the Redbirds who had intended for the Bradley match to mark the first of the outdoor season at Gregory Street Courts in Normal.
The Redbirds (7-5) fell short to Marquette last weekend, and hope to step their game up Wednesday against MVC-foe, Bradley (3-8). This competition marks the first conference match for both teams.
In seasons past, Illinois State has claimed victory over Bradley every time the two teams have met since the 1986-87 seasons where Bradley beat ISU, 5-4, at home.
The ISU-Bradley match will begin on Wednesday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill. Live coverage will be tweeted as it is received @ISUWomensTennis.
