BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Marking the first MVC match of the season, the Illinois State women's tennis team allied Bradley at home, recording a 7-0 win over the Braves. The Redbirds beat Bradley in all but one match during the day's competition.
The competition began with doubles play, where the Redbirds fell in Doubles No. 3 and conquered the Braves in the No. 1 and No. 2 position, securing the doubles point.
"I thought we came out a little slow in doubles," head coach Chris Hoover said. "Three was a little too aggressive, I think, and didn't quite get it done there but we picked it up in one and two. Overall, I thought it went pretty well."
