The Illinois State men's golf team will host Missouri Valley Conference rival Bradley on Saturday for the War on 74 Individual Challenge on the Redbird's home turf, Weibring Golf Club. Eight or nine players from each team will compete as individuals on the par-71, 6,915-yard course.
Head coach Ray Kralis is looking forward to his squad having another opportunity to compete to prepare them for the MVC Championship in April.
"While this event will have an individual emphasis and not a team component like our typical tournaments, it is a great opportunity to get some competitive reps under our belt as we gear up for the home stretch leading into the MVC Championship," Kralis said. "This format allows for competition not only with the Bradley players, but our guys get a chance to make a statement among themselves, which will certainly be considered as we finalize our team lineup going into Arkansas State."
The 18-hole competition will begin at 11am with a shotgun start.
