NORMAL, Ill. - Adam Kopp has been named the Assistant Director of Redbird Productions at Illinois State, according to the Director of Redbird Productions Nick Helten. Kopp will serve as the live event video producer for men's basketball, volleyball, soccer and softball, in addition to assisting with content creation for RedbirdHD.TV and in-venue video boards. The two-time ISU alum will also be the marketing and promotions liaison for the video department.
Kopp, who recently received his Master's degree in Sport Management, will be joining Illinois State's staff on a full time basis, after serving as a production graduate assistant within Redbird Productions for the past two school years. As a graduate assistant, Kopp provided support for game day productions, video editing and graphic design. He also regularly traveled to assist with road game coverage.
"Adam is a great addition to our staff," said Helten. "He is very passionate about video production and Illinois State Athletics. His background in live event management will be an asset to our team as we continue to enhance our in-venue and online production."
Kopp is eager to begin the next step in his video career at ISU as well.
"I'm extremely excited to be continuing my career as part of Redbird Productions, shared Kopp. "Normal has been my home for the past six years and I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to continue building on the success of our external efforts of Illinois State Athletics."
Kopp received a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a focus in TV Production. While working towards his degree, Kopp worked as a student assistant in Redbird Productions. Simultaneously, Kopp worked for ISU's student television channel TV-10 News and on the U.S. Cellular Coliseum Video Crew.
The Highland, Illinois, native currently resides in Normal, Illinois.
