NORMAL, Ill. - Just before the end of the spring semester arrives, the Illinois State volleyball team took the time to give back to the local Bloomington-Normal community in team-organized community service events.
During the week of April 21, the Redbird volleyball team hosted a bingo night at the Westminster Retirement Community, where the team assisted with the coordination of the event, while playing a few rounds with the Westminster residents. Later in the week, the volleyball team continued its partnership with Clare House by hosting its annual food drives at two local Schnuck's grocery stores.
As part of the food drive, team members collected non-perishable food items from patrons visiting the Schnuck's grocery stores, and then donated the collected items to Bloomington's Clare House.
