ISU Volleyball Hosts Red Alert Night; Military Appreciation

NORMAL, Ill. – When the Illinois State volleyball teams returns to its home court at Redbird Arena Friday at 7:05 p.m., the Redbirds are welcoming all Red Alert members to the match for Red Alert Night. This match will mark the opening of Missouri Valley Conference play on-campus, as ISU will take on Southern Illinois.

For Red Alert Night, the first 100 students in attendance will receive free Papa John's pizza. Food will be available starting at 6:30 p.m., at the South entrance of Redbird Arena on the concourse and is only available while supplies last. In addition, up to 200 students will have the opportunity to receive a brand new Illinois State Athletics T-shirt in exchange for a T-shirt for another college or university for ISU's T-shirt swap. All collected T-shirts will be donated to the local Salvation Army.

Our nation's service members will also we recognized during Friday's match against the Salukis, as the night will additionally serve as Military Appreciation Night.

Redbird volleyball returns to the court Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m., as the 'Birds will host Evansville at Redbird Arena. Fans will be granted free admission to the match, after showing a ticket stub from the previous days Illinois State football game against Austin Peay.
