NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State softball team has moved its annual Alumni Game to a 10 a.m. start rather than the previously scheduled 1 p.m. start time. Due to ISU's soccer match at 1 p.m., softball will begin three hours prior.
The game will feature 22 softball alumni, ranging from 1970-2013, including four from last season's MVC runner-up squad. Sunday will also be the first look at the 2014 version of Redbird softball, as fresh faces are abundant. Seven new players highlight the current roster.
The Alumni Game kicks off the fall season, which will feature eight games for the Redbirds. Four of the contests will take place at Marian Kneer Stadium, including next Friday's contest against Western Illinois.
First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Marian Kneer Stadium.
