Final Brock Spack Show Scheduled For Jan. 6 at Schooners

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team is heading to the 2015 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game on Jan. 10 in Frisco, Texas, and will play three-time defending national champion North Dakota State.  ISU head coach Brock Spack will talk about his team's trip to the national championship during the final edition of The Brock Spack Show on Tuesday, Jan. 6, which airs live from Schooners on WJBC 1230-AM from 5:30-7 p.m.

The Redbirds (13-1, 7-1 MVFC) flew from coast to coast throughout the playoffs, but advanced to the FCS National Championship Game for the first time in school history, after a 21-18 win over No. 1 seeded and ranked New Hampshire in the semifinals.  The Redbirds have put together a record-breaking season, advancing to the title game for the first time in school history and shared the Missouri Valley Football Conference title with the Bison.

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz, and will be joined by junior All-American running back Marshaun Coprich.  The Victorville, California, native has earned All-America honors from The Sports Network, The Associated Press and the Walter Camp Football Foundation. 

The 2014 Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year is the first Redbird in school history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season, upping his season total to 2,168 yards with his performance last in the FCS semifinal win at New Hampshire.  Coprich also holds the ISU single-season rushing touchdowns mark with 27 and in addition to his re-writing of the school record books, Coprich has put his name in the national spotlight and currently ranks No. 1 in the FCS in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove and Clinton Streets. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
