NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State, winners of four-straight games, hits the road for the second week in a row to face Missouri State Saturday at Plaster Field.  ISU head coach Brock Spack will preview the game against the Bears at The Brock Spack Show on Thursday, Oct. 15, which airs live from Schooners on WJBC 1230-AM from 6-7 p.m.

The Redbirds, ranked No. 4 in both the FCS Coaches Poll and the STATS FCS Poll, complete a two-game road swing against the Bears on Homecoming at Missouri State. Â ISU has won four-straight games and the last two have come at the expense of nationally-ranked foes in No. 6 Northern Iowa and last week against No. 7 Youngstown State.Â
Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz, and will be joined by senior defensive end David "Boom" Perkins. Â A three-year starter at defensive end for the Redbirds, Perkins has become a feared pass rusher in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Â Perkins is tied for the team lead with 4.0 tackles-for-loss through five games and has added 2.5 sacks for the Redbirds in 2015. Â In 31 career games for the Redbirds, Perkins has recorded 53 tackles, 21 TFLs and 14.5 sacks.
