NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swimming and diving team will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, for a three-day meet, beginning Friday. The meet will begin each day with prelims beginning at 9 a.m., and finishing with finals at 6 p.m.
This will be Illinois State's first time at Ralph R. Wright Natatorium. Head swimming coach Scott Cameron is excited for his team to participate in a big meet against strong competition.
"This weekend will be a great opportunity for our athletes to see where they are at, and what they still need to improve on for the rest of the season," said Cameron. "There will be some very good teams at this meet and it will be great to see everyone get up and compete with some of the best swimmers in the country."
The invite diving format will include both 1- and 3-meter events. Head diving coach Phil Hoffmann is looking forward to his team being able to compete in a new environment.
"The team has had a good few weeks of training, and I think they are well-prepared for a good weekend," said Hoffmann.
