NORMAL, Ill. – Coming off of a dual-meet win, the Illinois State women's gymnastics team will hit the road to St. Charles, Mo., to face Lindenwood on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., inside Hyland Arena.
The Redbirds scored a season-high team score of 194.225, with over eight individual personal-bests last night when they hosted Air Force Academy inside Horton Field House. Head coach Bob Conkling is looking forward to continue this strength against Lindenwood.
"I am very proud of this team and the progress they made last night," Conkling said. "The mentality and physicality are finally there, and I am excited for this momentum to continue as we take on the Lady Lions."
Lindenwood is currently 3-0 against conference opponents and is coming off of a win as they defeated Texas Woman's and Centenary in a tri-meet last weekend. The Lady Lions have a 2015 season-high team score of 194.625, which is also the second-highest score in their program history.
The Redbirds will face Lindenwood a second time inside Hyland Arena in a quad meet on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m.
