Myers Announces Spring 2015 Volleyball Schedule

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State head volleyball coach Melissa Myers announced her team's spring schedule, featuring two tournaments and two scrimmages, on Tuesday.

The schedule features four dates of competition, bookended by appearances at the Kentucky-Indiana Volleyball Academy Tournament on March 28, at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center in Louisville, Kentucky, and the Indy Collegiate Invitational on April 18, at The Academy Volleyball in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Between those two dates, the Redbirds will travel to Purdue (April 2) and Illinois-Chicago (April 10) for single scrimmages.

The spring contests come following a historic 2014 season in which the Redbirds won their first Missouri Valley Conference regular-season and tournament titles since 1997. Illinois State became only the third team in league history to post an undefeated record in conference play, as the Redbirds won a school record 23-consecutive matches. Illinois State qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007 and won its first NCAA Tournament match since 1996.
