Third-Annual 'Hardly Normal' Talent Show Monday

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) will host the third-annual 'Hardly Normal' Student-Athlete Talent Show on Monday at 7 p.m. at Bone Student Center. Admission to the event is free and open to the public, while donations will be accepted to benefit The Baby Fold.

The two-hour event will include a performance from most Redbird athletic teams, and the acts will be judged by a panel of VIPs from the Illinois State campus and the Bloomington-Normal community. Also performing Monday will be student groups Gamma Phi Circus and Urban Movement, and from the community, the Dobski Dancers.

The donations for the event will benefit The Baby Fold in Normal. The Baby Fold was born out of one woman's desire to care for others and originally started in 1902 by Nancy Mason. The faith-based orphanage for infants and young children has grown in to a multi-service agency, specializing in the care of today's most vulnerable children. It focuses on improving the lives of children and families by building safe, loving, healthy environments through adoption services, foster care, residential care, special education and family and community services.

Illinois State student-athletes have previously raised $2,200 for The Baby Fold with the 'Hardly Normal' Talent Show.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
