NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State softball and baseball teams will co-host "Reggie's Kids Club Day," presented by Papa John's, on Sunday, April 26, at Marian Kneer Stadium and Duffy Bass Field.
Illinois State's softball game with Loyola will begin at 12 p.m. at Marian Kneer Stadium, while the Redbirds' baseball game against Missouri State starts at 1 p.m. at Duffy Bass Field.
All Reggie's Kids Club members are invited to attend the event, held at Adelaide Street Soccer Field, located between Marian Kneer Stadium and Duffy Bass Field. The event begins at 11 a.m. and will run until 12:30 p.m. Families can enjoy the event by taking part in a mural craft, a Fun on the Run bounce house, and enjoying Papa John's pizza.
Kids participating in the mural craft will create two murals, with one being hung at each field after completion. Kids participating are encouraged to wear clothes they don't mind getting paint on.
The first 100 kids to RSVP will receive a slice of Papa John's pizza. Parents of Kids Club members should RSVP for their child/children by contacting Andrew Evans, marketing graduate assistant, at (309) 438-3399 or aevans2@ilstu.edu.
Two lucky Kids Club members will be selected to throw out a ceremonial first pitch – one at the softball game and one at the baseball game.
The baseball game will also feature $1 hot dogs and $2 Dippin' Dots in a souvenir baseball helmet. In addition, all kids can run the bases, meet the team, and get player autographs after the game.
As always, admission is free for all Illinois State home baseball and softball games.Â
