Redbirds Hosting Miracle League of Central Illinois

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State baseball team will host children from the Miracle League of Central Illinois for a game Tuesday at Duffy Bass Field from 6-7 p.m. The game was previously scheduled for April 25, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Each Miracle League player will have a Redbird baseball "buddy" for Tuesday's game, and the event is free and open to the public.

The Miracle League of Central Illinois provides opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball, regardless of their abilities. It promotes community support and sponsorship of the Miracle League, in addition to the construction of special facilities that meet the unique needs of Miracle League players and their families.

The Miracle League season opens June 7, and the grand opening of the Miracle League of Central Illinois Field is June 27.
