NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State baseball rising senior Jean Ramirez finished the month of June with a 10-game hit streak, helping his summer team move into third place in the Northwoods League's South Division standings.
A member of the Madison Mallards, Ramirez is currently slashing .286/.375/.400 and the team is 7-3 during his 10-game hit streak. He registered three doubles over the stretch, which was highlighted by a 2-for-5 performance with a double, home run and two runs scored in an 11-4 win over Kenosha June 26.
For the season, Ramirez has six doubles, two home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored in 28 games played, while serving as the team's primary catcher.

- Earned his first win of the summer in a 2-1 extra-innings win over Southland June 27
