NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's basketball team departs for its 10-day trip to Spain Friday where the Redbirds will play four exhibition games while also touring sites in Madrid and Barcelona (Aug. 7-16).

The Redbirds' 10-day journey begins in Madrid, Spain, where ISU is scheduled to face CB Alcobendas Aug. 9 and the Madrid All-Stars Aug. 11. Illinois State will then travel to Barcelona, Spain, to play the Barcelona Basketball Academy Aug. 13, followed by a game against the AEC Colleblanc Basketball Club in Barcelona Aug. 15. Travel Packages Still Available for Cancun Trip
ISU's journey to Spain is the first of two international trips that the Redbirds will take this year. During the upcoming regular season, Illinois State will travel to Cancun, Mexico, to play in the 2015 Cancun Challenge with Maryland, Rhode Island and TCU in late November. Fans hoping to enjoy the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya with the Redbird men's basketball team, can register for an all-inclusive package through Suzi Davis Travel.
