ST. LOUIS – ESPN2 will televise the Illinois State men's basketball team's regular-season finale at Wichita State, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. CT, it was announced Tuesday.
The Redbirds are aiming to sweep the regular-season series against the Shockers for the first time since 2007-08, which was also the last time that ISU won at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas. In the first meeting between the two teams – also featured on ESPN2 – Illinois State earned a 58-53 upset victory over No. 21 Wichita State (Feb. 6) on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. The loss was WSU's first in Missouri Valley Conference play this season.
Illinois State will finish the 2015-16 campaign having been showcased nationally on ESPN2 at least four times. The Redbirds will also have been featured on CBS Sports Network at least four times, MVC TV (Comcast SportsNet Chicago and FOX Sports Midwest) four times and ESPN3 at least 18 times.
