MILWAUKEE – The Illinois State men's tennis team fell, 7-0, at Marquette to drop to 2-3 overall Sunday afternoon.
The doubles team of Peter Foersom and Egehan Sertkaya fell to Marquette's Kristiyan Trukov and Mackenzie Stearns 6-2, and Dylan Steffens and Matias Chomali fell to Greg Anderson and Luke Smrek 6-2.
In singles, Urh Krajnc Domiter dropped a three-setter to Alvaro Verdu 7-5, 3-6, 10-5. Steffens lost to Smrek 7-6, 3-6, 6-3. Andreas Boers fell to Anderson 6-2, 3-6, 7-5. Sertkaya was narrowly defeated by Nick Dykema 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Chomali fell to Trukov 6-1, 6-1 and Foersom lost to Brett Meyers 6-0, 6-3.
