LOUISVILLE, Ky.  – The Illinois State men's tennis team fell, 7-0, at Louisville Tuesday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The squad's record is now 4-5.

"We fought hard today with what we brought against a very deep Louisville team," said head coach, Mark Klysner. "What we didn't do well and need to improve on is winning the big points. We lost too many deuce points, but we will now try and get healthy for this weekend."

Louisville claimed the doubles point as Parker Wynn and Sean Donohue defeated Andreas Boers and Dylan Steffens, 6-2. George Hedley and Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff defeated Egehan Sertkaya and Peter Foersom, 6-1. Fredrik Moe and Ciro Lampasas won by default.

In singles, Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff defeated Steffens, 6-4, 6-4. Nicolas Rouanet beat Boers, 6-2, 6-2. Parker Wynn defeated Sertkaya, 6-0, 6-0. George Hedley topped Matias Chomali, 6-3, 6-2. Brandon Lancaster defeated Foersom, 6-0, 6-2 and Filho won by default.

This weekend, the Redbirds will play a doubleheader, as they compete at Detroit on Saturday in a 4 p.m. match, followed by a Sunday match at Toledo at 4 p.m. To stay up to date on ISU men's tennis, follow them on Twitter: @RedbirdMTEN.
