Student Guest Ticket Program New For ISU Students In 2017-18

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State students will now have the opportunity to purchase tickets for visiting guests from other university or high schools this season, with the new Student Guest Ticket Program created by the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office for the 2017-18 school year.

The Student Guest Ticket Program was created to allow student guests of current Illinois State students access to a discounted ticket, and the ability to sit with their friend for ISU regular-season home football and men's basketball events. 

Current Illinois State students may purchase a maximum of one (1) additional ticket for a student guest per game. Tickets (subject to availability) are good for the general admission football student section (sections 124-126) at $15 (regularly $25) and in upper bowl reserved seating at men's basketball for $10 (regularly $12 or $17). 

"The ticket office is excited to offer this new perk to our students," Illinois State Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Operations Bryan Goodall said. "We have received many requests from students in the past for this type of benefit. Ultimately, our goal is to provide them with the best possible experience when they attend one of our athletics events."

This new offer is available for regular-season home football and men's basketball games. The offer is not available for premium regular-season games, including the football Homecoming and Family Weekend games and the men's basketball game versus Bradley. The offer also does not include any postseason games hosted by Illinois State Athletics.

Guest tickets may be purchased in-person at the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office beginning 9 a.m. the day prior to the game and on game day. Both the ISU student and guest must show a valid ID to receive the guest discount and to enter the stadium/arena. Failure to produce a valid ID will result in the guest ticket being sold at the general public rate and the location will not be in the student section. All sales are final and tickets are not eligible for exchange or refund.

Returning ISU students can purchase a Red Alert pass for the 2017-18 school year by visiting GoRedbirds.com/students, calling the Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000, or by visiting the Redbird Arena Ticket Office in person. The Red Alert pass is an Illinois State student season ticket to all regular-season home football and men's basketball games for the academic year. Additional benefits to joining Red Alert include an official student section t-shirt, early admission to football and men's basketball games 15 minutes prior to non-Red Alert member ISU students and the general public, giving these students the best access to premium seat locations and giveaways.
