Illinois State Men's Basketball to have 10 games Broadcast on ESPN Live-Event Package

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Illinois State men's basketball program will have 10 games broadcast on the Missouri Valley Conference's 100-live event package, including three on ESPN2 for the upcoming season.

Announced by the MVC on Tuesday morning, the package includes contests on ESPN2, ESPNU, and The Valley on ESPN for the 2018-19 academic year.

"Our relationship with ESPN is pivotal to our continued success as an athletic league," said MVC Commissioner Doug Elgin. "The ever-increasing exposure from the numerous live event and original content opportunities we have on the network's linear and digital platforms has provided a boost to the teams and student-athletes in every one of our athletic programs."

The league has three contests on ESPN2, each tilt featuring Illinois State including on Jan. 12 at Loyola Chicago, Feb. 2 at home against Loyola Chicago, and on Feb. 16 at home against Bradley with the possible addition of an ESPN2 wildcard game in the season finale against Southern Illinois on Mar. 2.

Three Illinois State games will have a ESPN Netflex, in which one game will appear on ESPNU and the other on ESPN3. The broadcast designation will happen three weeks before the game. Those three games are Jan. 27 at home against Indiana State, Feb. 10 at Missouri State, and Feb. 24 at home against Drake.

Three additional contests – Nov. 28 against BYU, Dec. 1 against San Diego State, and Feb. 20 at Indiana State, will be produced and broadcasted by The Valley on ESPN, which can be seen on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
