NORMAL, Ill. – The 36-hole Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate, hosted by Evansville, is the final tournament in the fall season for the Illinois State women's golf team. The tournament takes place at the par-72, 6,032 yard Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Ind.Â

Competing Teams: Butler, Central Michigan, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Green Bay, UIC, Illinois State, Indiana State, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State and Valparaiso.
History at the Event: This is the Redbird's first appearance at the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate tournament.
About the Course: The 18-hole Oak Meadow Country Club course boasts tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and tilted greens. Multiple lakes at Oak Meadow come into play on 10 of the 18 holes.
Last Time Out: The Redbirds came in third out of nine squads at the MVC Preview in Chesterton, Ind. Oct. 15-16. The tournament was played at the par-72, 6,074 yard Sand Creek Country Club. The 18-holes were divided between the nine-hole courses, Creek and Marsh. The team's final score was 985 (325-322-338).
Paige Seiser led the Redbirds at the Preview by scoring 236 (78-78-80) and placed in a tie for fourth place. Junior Becca Black carded a three-round score of 250 (82-82-86) and accumulated three birdies to finish in a 19th place tie. Senior Caitlin Sims used three birdies throughout the tournament to land in a tie for 23rd place. Her final score was 252 (79-88-85).
Emma Sutton finished 40-over-par with her three-round score of 256 (86-80-90) and three birdies to place in a four-way tie for 30th place. Junior Morgan Savage used three birdies over the tournament and scored a 257 (88-82-87) to finish in in a two-way tie for 34th place. Individual competitor Tatum King played 262 (90-83-89) over three rounds to secure a finish in 42nd place.
Next Time Out: The Redbirds will begin action tomorrow morning at the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate in Evansville, Indiana through Tuesday, Oct. 23.
