ST. LOUIS – Illinois State student-athlete Caroline Lecoeur has been awarded Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week for the third-consecutive week, the league office announced Tuesday.
"It's a great honor for Caroline to be recognized once again by the Valley for her performance this past weekend," said head diving coach Phil Hoffmann. "She is diving at a high level right now, and her hard work and dedication is showing. We are very much looking forward to our upcoming mid-season invite, to see how she stacks up against some Big Ten divers and other top divers in our zone."
Lecoeur had a victorious weekend on the boards, as she assisted in earning points for a Redbird win at home against Omaha. This is the Redbird student-athlete's second week in a row earning scores meeting NCAA qualification zones on both boards. Lecoeur earned top placements in both of her events, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, capturing scores of 285.37 and 283.73, respectively.
Illinois State will head north Nov. 16-18 for the TYR Invitational, hosted by Northwestern.
