GREENSBORO, N.C. – Redbird swim team members Jensen Keck and Kierston Farley-Sepe traveled to the east coast this week to compete in the AT&T Winter National Championships.
Farley-Sepe competed in the 200-yard IM, clocking a time of 2:22.96 and turning in at 44th place. She also battled in the 200-yard fly, finishing 42nd overall with a time of 2:22.28.
Keck represented Illinois State in the 100-yard breaststroke, as she turned in a time of 1:13.43 and 42nd-place overall finish.
"I'm very proud with how both Jensen and Kierston competed this weekend," said head swimming coach Scott Cameron. "To have the opportunity to swim with some of the best swimmers in the country is a great experience. They learned a lot from each swim, and they had a lot of fun being in this environment. I'm excited for them as they continue to work and improve throughout the rest of the season."
The Redbirds will take a five-week break from competition, before returning to Horton Pool on Jan. 12 to host Davenport and Lincoln College for the only home double dual of the season.
