BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring Illinois State men's head coach Dan Muller and women's head coach Kristen Gillespie will air tonight live from Hy-Vee Market Grille in Bloomington, Illinois. Fans unable to attend the show can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or GoRedbirds.com, as Muller and Gillespie preview their upcoming matchups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by senior forward, Simone Goods. The women's team (5-4) hosts Saint Louis on Thursday, Dec. 20 in the next-to-last non-conference game of the season. Goods, who was named the MVC Player of the Week a week ago, is averaging a team-best 17.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by junior guard Zach Copeland. The men's team (7-5) travels to Orlando for a Friday, Dec. 21 game against the UCF Knights at 6 p.m. Copeland this season is averaging 10.4 points per game and has dished out 38 assists - second-most on the team - while making 19 three-point field goals and 17-of-19 free throw attempts.
