Bye Week Version Of The Brock Spack Show At Schooners Airs Thursday

NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team is idle this week, after picking up a convincing 48-10 win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday in the annual Mid-America Classic. Despite the bye week, ISU head coach Brock Spack will still break down the matchup against the Panthers, and talk about his team's extra preparation during the week on Thursday at The Brock Spack Show live from Schooners in Bloomington beginning at 6 p.m.

Ranked No. 18 and No. 19 in the AFCA Coaches poll and the STATS FCS Top 25, respectively, the Redbirds (2-0) come off a dominant performance against the Panthers. The Redbirds are averaging 47 points per game which is in the top four in the FCS in scoring offense. Defensively, the Redbirds are second in scoring defense, giving up five points per game, and among the FCS leaders for fewest yards allowed per game at 193 yards per game.

Coach Spack will talk with co-hosts Dick Luedke and Ted Schmitz and welcome senior defensive end Matt Swaine to the show as this week's player guest. The Rochester, Illinois, native is coming off a performance in which he had three tackles against the Panthers.

Schooners is located at 810 East Grove Street in Bloomington, and sits just off the corner of Grove Street and Clinton Boulevard. For those who can't make it out to Schooners to watch the show live, it will be broadcast on WJBC 1230 AM in the Twin Cities and streamed live on GoRedbirds.com.
