Illinois State (6-4-2, 1-0-0) hits the road this weekend to take on Drake (4-7-0, 1-0-0) Saturday night in West Des Moines, Iowa. The 'Birds look to extend their four-game win streak in the match slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The match will take place at Tiger Field in West Des Moines, Iowa.
The Redbirds lead the all-time series with the Bulldogs, 11-7-2. The last time they met, Drake prevailed over Illinois State, 3-2, in an overtime thriller at Adelaide Street Field.

Drake – What You Need to Know
The Bulldogs topped Valparaiso 1-0 in overtime Sunday to kick off their Missouri Valley Conference slate. Junior Shelley Lyjak found the back of the net for the Bulldogs in the 97th minute of play to score her first goal of the season. Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsie Stone collected two saves in her second shutout of the season.
Drake is 4-7 this season, with 10 of their 11 matches being decided by only one goal. Freshman Alison Walls leads the team with six points off of two goals and two assists.
Last Time Out
The Illinois State women's soccer team edged Missouri State 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Adelaide Street Field. The 'Birds battled back after the Bears took an early lead in the tenth minute to equalize with a Kate Del Fava goal before halftime. Del Fava has four goals on the year and has scored in each of the last three matches. Freshman Shaina Dudas would net the game-winning goal in the second half to secure Illinois State's first MVC victory of 2018. Junior Haley Smith had five saves in goal for the Redbirds.
