BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Redbird Basketball Coaches Shows, featuring Illinois State men's head coach Dan Muller and women's head coach Kristen Gillespie will air tonight live from Hy-Vee Market Grille in Bloomington, Illinois. Fans unable to attend the show can listen live on WJBC 1230-AM or GoRedbirds.com, as Muller and Gillespie preview their upcoming matchups.
The Kristen Gillespie Show, hosted by Greg Halbleib, starts out the night at 6 p.m. Gillespie will be joined by junior forward Megan Talbot. The women's team (10-8, 3-4 MVC) travels north for a pair of games, facing off at Loyola on Friday, Feb. 1, and at Valparaiso on Sunday, Feb. 3. Talbot has played in seven games after missing time early in the season due to injury. She has started each of her last three games, and tied her career-high on Saturday against Bradley with two three-pointers and four assists, while also scoring a dozen points.
The Dan Muller Show follows at 7 p.m., hosted by Dick Luedke and Mike Matthews. Muller will be joined by sophomore redshirt forward Keith Fisher III. The men's team (12-9, 4-3) travels to Des Moines, Iowa, to take on the Drake Bulldogs on Wednesday, Jan. 30 before hosting Loyola Chicago on Saturday, Feb. 2 in a game that will be broadcasted on ESPN2. Fisher started his career at San Jose State, where he played last season as a freshman and averaged 10.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest.
