BOSTON  – Illinois State senior forward Milik Yarbrough has been named to the 2018-19 Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List, announced on Wednesday.
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top mid-major player in Division I College Basketball. The 2019 Lou Henson Award will be presented at the College Insider awards event in April at the site of the men's Division I National Championship in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Yarbrough currently leads Illinois State in scoring (16.7), rebounding (8.1), and assists (3.9), and is one of just five players in the country to rank inside of his conference's top five in all three categories.
The 2018 MVC First Team honoree and Newcomer of the Year is one of 15 men's basketball student-athletes in the NCAA since 1992-93 to average the numbers that he is putting up this season. He is also closing in on 1,000 career points at Illinois State, having scored 798 during his one and a half seasons with the Redbirds.
Illinois State (9-7, 2-1 Missouri Valley Conference) is next in action on Saturday, Jan. 12, when the team travels to Chicago to take on the Loyola Chicago Ramblers in a 1 p.m. tip-off, broadcasted on ESPN2.
