Family Weekend Festivities Surround Redbird Football

NORMAL, Ill. – An exciting Family Weekend football matchup against defending FCS national champion No.1 North Dakota State (4-0) is next up for the No. 6 Illinois State Redbirds (3-1), with pre-game events scheduled to ramp up the feeling at Hancock Stadium on Saturday.

The Redbird Tailgate Concert Series presented by Bang Energy continues in Lot G82, as Whiskey's Gone: Zac Brown Tribute Band will play for fans in attendance from 9:45-11:45 a.m. prior to kickoff at Noon. Bang Energy will be activating near the band stage each gameday offering free energy drink samples and product sales while supplies last. 

Fans are also urged to head into Hancock Stadium early, as a special flyover by a pair of A-10 Warthogs from the 122nd Fighter Wing will take place during the playing of the National Anthem. 

Tickets are limited for this big contest against the Bison. Fans are urged to log onto GoRedbirds.com/tickets, call the ISU Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000 or visit StubHub.com, the 'Official Fan to Fan Ticket Marketplace' of the Redbirds. A large allotment of student tickets is still available to ISU students planning to attend the game, with a cost of $5 without a Red Alert pass.
