NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State will have five women compete at the Bulldog Invite hosted by Butler University in Carmel, Indiana on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Northview Church Course. The women's 5K will begin at 3:30 p.m.
The Redbirds will race against four other schools, including MVC foe Indiana State, IUPUI, Purdue and Indiana.
Illinois State will have five runners competing, including freshmen Kylie Hagmann, Mackenzie Brownrigg and Kendy Ummel, sophomore Maddi Exline and senior Mariah Brodie.
Of the women competing at Butler, Hagmann notched the top 6K time at last week's meet at Bradley, recording a personal-best time of 22:51.6 in the women's red race to place seventh among the Redbirds and 81st overall. The duo of Exline and Brownrigg were the final two runners to finish in the women's red race for the 'Birds, clocking in at personal-best times of 23:15.3 and 23:17.7, respectively.
In the women's white race last weekend, Ummel led the pack, completing her first collegiate 6K in 23:43.7 to place 20th overall.
Brodie recorded a personal-best time of 24:12.7 in the 6K to finish 28th overall.
