NORMAL, Ill. – The 48th class of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame was enshrined Saturday morning at a ceremony conducted inside the Brown Ballroom at the Bone Student Center during 2019 Homecoming festivities at ISU.
The 2019 Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame class was inducted, as Osiris Eldridge (basketball), three-time All-MVC First-Team selection and fifth on ISU scoring list; Cathy (Olson) George (volleyball), three-time NCAA participant and current head coach at Michigan State; Kevin Glenn (football), three-time All-MVC selection and CFL great; and Katie Jean (golf), two-time MVC individual medalist and three-time All-MVC selection, officially became members of the Illinois State Athletics Percy Family Hall of Fame.
Hall of Famer and "Voice of the Redbirds" Dick Luedke served as emcee for the event, which featured remarks and well-wishes from Illinois State University President Dr. Larry Dietz and ISU Director of Athletics Larry Lyons. The inductees were celebrated with by fellow Hall-of-Famers, family, friends, former teammates and coaches as they joined the ranks of Illinois State's greatest student-athletes, coaches, administrators and contributors.

Osiris Eldridge – Men's Basketball (2006-10)
Four-year starter for the Redbirds … became the 41st player in Missouri Valley Conference history to be named first-team all-conference for three seasons (2008-10) … two-time MVC All-Defensive Team selection in final two seasons … school record holder for three-point field goals made (278) and ranks No. 3 in career steals (181) … finished career ranked fifth in school history with 1,838 points scored … No. 6 on the career field goals made list (631) … named the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player, only the second player in league history to receive the award from a member of the runner-up team … named the Valley Player of the Week three times (Dec. 1, Jan. 5 and Feb. 16) that season … was also selected as the Most Valuable Player of the World Vision Invitational and was named to the SMU Tipoff Classic All-Tournament Team … as a sophomore during the 2007-08 season, was named the Larry Bird Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year runner-up after averaging 15.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game on a 43.2 field goal percentage … scored a career-high 34 points against Indiana State that year … was honored as the 2007 Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, after averaging 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game and tallying  double-digit scoring outings, including three in the last four games of the season … following collegiate career, played overseas in France, Germany and currently in Turkey … spent the 2011-12 season with the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA G-League … also recently played in The Basketball Tournament for the Eberlein Drive.
Cathy Olson George – Volleyball (1981-84)
Four-year letterwinner for the Redbirds … three-time All-Gateway/Missouri Valley Conference selection … key member of the back-to-back Gateway/MVC regular season championship teams in 1983-84 … helped lead ISU to Gateway/MVC tournament titles in 1982-84, earning three-straight NCAA Tournament bids in the process … Illinois State was 122-68 during her four-year career, including a pair of 17-1 conference finishes … still ranked No. 5 in MVC history in service aces in a season (95) and career (233) and No. 10 for kills in a season (566) in conference play … ranks in the top 20 all time in the MVC in career kills (1,595) … holds the top two spots for aces in a season in the ISU record books and is second in single-season kills (566) … also ranks second for points scored in a season (691) … holds the ISU career records for kills per set (6.46) and points per set (7.67) and ranks second in career aces (233) … also ranks fourth in ISU career kills and points (1,895) … got her start as a collegiate coach at North Dakota State in 1987-88, leading the Bison to an 87-11 (.888) record in her two seasons …  earned NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year honors in 1988 … from 1989-93, served as the head coach at Texas-Arlington and led UTA to the 1989 and 1990 NCAA Tournaments, with a school-record third-place national finish in 1989 … with the Mavs, she became the first woman to coach in the NCAA Division I Final Four (1989) and she earned Southland Conference Coach of the Year honors three times (1989, 1990, 1992) as she posted a record of 93-74 in her five seasons … she then spent 11 years guiding the Western Michigan program, where she compiled a 185-139 record as the Broncos qualified for eight consecutive MAC Tournaments … her Bronco squad made back-to-back MAC Tournament title match appearances in 1999 and 2000, capturing the title in 2000 … she reached the 300-win mark in 2000, and was named the MAC Coach of the Year that same season after guiding the Broncos to the MAC title and NCAA Tournament … in 14 years as the head coach at Michigan State, the Spartans have ascended to one of the elite programs in the country with NCAA appearances in seven of the last eight years including three trips to the Sweet 16 and an NCAA Regional Final appearance in 2017 … she has guided the Spartans to the most wins of any Michigan State head coach in program history and heads into the 2019 season with a career record of 631-414, which ranks 15th among active coaches for total wins in NCAA Division I volleyball, and she is among the top 80 coaches all-time with a career .606 winning percentage.Â
Kevin Glenn – Football (1997-2000)
Four-year letterwinner for the Redbirds … three-time All-Gateway/Missouri Valley Football Conference selection, including a First-Team pick in 1998 … 1998 Football Gazette Honorable Mention All-American … 1997 Gateway Conference All-Newcomer Team member … two-time ISU Carter Harris Most Valuable Player Award winner … helped lead the Redbirds to back-to-back FCS playoff appearances in 1998-99 … finished his career with 8,251 yards and 62 touchdowns, while completing 57 percent of his passes … still holds 10 ISU single-game records, including passing touchdowns (6) and longest completion (98 yards) … ranks second in the ISU record books in career passing yards (8,251), passing touchdowns (62), completions (663), yards per game (223.0) and total offense yards (8,862) among others … holds record for most passing yards by a sophomore in school history (3,037) … owns the school record and is tied for second in conference history with his six touchdown passes against Southern Utah in 1998 … his 457 yards passing against UNI in 1998 rank No. 9 in the conference record books … the 98-yard touchdown pass to Rickey Garrett against Indiana State in 1998 stands as a school record … following collegiate career, went on to play 18 seasons in the Canadian Football League … the first player (and only)in CFL history to have been a member of all nine teams, Glenn threw for nearly 53,000 yards along with 294 touchdowns in 268 career contests in the CFL … had the best season of his career in 2007, throwing for 5,117 yards and leading the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to an appearance in the Grey Cup Championship … voted Most Outstanding Player in the Eastern Division that season … honored with the 2011 CFL Tom Pate Memorial Award, which is awarded to a player with outstanding sportsmanship and someone who has made a significant contribution to his team, his community and the Association … he retired as the CFL's sixth all-time leading passer with 52,867 yards, ahead of Ron Lancaster and just behind Danny McManus … also ranks 16th all-time on the list for quarterbacks that have played outdoor professional football in North America in the CFL/NFL .
Katie Jean – Women's Golf (2009-13)
Four-year member of the golf team at Illinois State, helping the team to three MVC Championships and NCAA appearances … three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection and three-time MVC All-Academic Team member … was also honored three times (2011-13) with the MVC Elite 17 Award as the individual with the highest GPA at the MVC Championships … two-time MVC Medalist as the top individual finisher at the MVC Championships (2012-13), one of only six golfers in conference history to win at least two medalist honors … was named the 2013 MVC Golfer of the Year and selected as a member of the MVC 25-Year Team … earned MVC Golfer of the Week honors six times during her career … selected as the 2012 Linda Herman ISU Women's Scholar Athlete of the Year and the 2013 Laurie Mabry Award winner … named MVC Golfer of the Week five times as a senior, recording eight top-10 finishes with a pair of tournament individual titles … earned medalist honors at the MVC Championship with a score of 233, five strokes ahead of second place that year to help the Redbirds advance to the NCAA Regional … during junior season in 2012, finished with a three-round season best of 220 to earn medalist honors at the MVC Championship … had a season stroke average of 76.1 that year, the best among the Redbirds … as a sophomore, was named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) Division I All-America Scholar Team after earned a 4.0 GPA … tied for 18th at the MVC Championship that year, while helping the Redbirds to their fourth-straight team title … was a Presidential Scholar at ISU and was also named a Country Scholar by the Actuarial Science Department … graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois State.
Kathy Whitney – Stretch Miller Award Winner
Dedicated member of the official bench crew for Illinois State volleyball and women's basketball … has been a part of the volleyball table crew for 35 years, working over 350 regular season contests at Horton Field House and Redbird Arena … has served as part of the official bench crew for seven Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championships hosted by the Redbirds … for over 25 years, has served as a member of the women's basketball bench crew as well … that group worked the 2005 MVC Championship at Redbird Arena, which saw the Redbirds punch a ticket to the NCAA Tournament with a thrilling championship game win over Indiana State … has also been a part of hosting several WNIT games on campus as well … the ISU bench team has been the official crew for the past 10 MVC Women's Basketball Championships hosted in St. Charles and Moline … in addition to her work with ISU, she has also assisted with various IHSA girls basketball, boys basketball and volleyball events at Redbird Arena and worked with IHSA golf events held at Weibring Golf Club.
