DADE CITY, Fla. – The women's golf team placed 14th at the Spring Break Shootout as the five-member squad carded a three-round score of 914 (304-302-308).
Tournament hosts Western Kentucky and Florida Golf Coast topped the 15-team field, tying for first place at 5-over-par.
Junior Paige Seiser played three-over-par on day two, improving to earn a tie for 60th place alongside individual player Emma Sutton. Seiser's final score closed at 233 (80-79-74). Sutton went 8-over-par in the third round to also bring her score to 233 (75-79-79).
Caitlin Sims and Becca Black shared a three-way tie for 45th place with a final score of 226. Sims (72-74-78) carried five birdies over the tournament to secure her position, as Black (73-75-78) went seven-over-par on day two.
Junior Morgan Savage ended the tournament with a 7-over-par third round. Savage carded a three-round score of 232 (79-75-78), landing in 59th place. Tatum King caught six birdies over three rounds to end in a tie for 72nd place, as the sophomore played a 238 (80-78-78).
The Redbirds return to action March 23-24 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Arizona.
