NORMAL, Ill. – Due to unfavorable field conditions, Illinois State's home opener versus Iowa has been cancelled for Wednesday night. The contest between the Redbirds and the Hawkeyes will not be made up.
The Redbirds will continue Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend, when they travel to Terre Haute, Indiana, to take on Indiana State. Doubleheader action against the Sycamores begins at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, with the three-game set wrapping up on Sunday at 10 a.m. CT.
