NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State Redbirds defeated the Sacramento State Hornets by a final score of 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Duffy Bass Field. Rave's two-run home run proved to be the difference maker in the game, as Illinois State improves to 22-15 on the season and 9-2 at Duffy Bass Field.

- The game was scoreless until the top of the fifth inning, as McPhillips homered to left field to put the Hornets up 1-0.
