MURRAY, Ky. – After the opening two rounds of the 6,010 yard Jan Weaver Invitational, the Redbirds sit in eighth place with a two round score of 615 (312-303). The Redbirds improved three positions in the 15-team field between the first and second round.
Tatum King achieved a two-round score of 153 (78-75) to score a 26th place tie going into the final round. The sophomore is on track to card a career-best tournament score at the Invitational, which is currently 229.
Caitlin Sims and Paige Seiser played 154 over 36 holes on day one. The pair currently sit in a 33rd place tie prior to the final round.
Junior Morgan Savage played consistently throughout the first day, carding a 77 in both rounds. Savage waits for round three in a 38th place tie with her 155.
Becca Black carded an 81 in round one and improved her second round score to a 76. After two rounds (157), the junior is in a 52nd place tie.
