NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State baseball wraps up the regular season beginning tomorrow, with a three-game conference series against Evansville at Duffy Bass Field. Tomorrow and Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m., with the final game taking place on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Illinois State Redbirds (30-21, 12-6 MVC)
The Redbirds come into the series, after taking two-of-three games from Bradley last weekend in Peoria. The Redbirds doubled up the Braves last weekend in runs scored. Illinois State has four of the top 20 batters in the conference, and Brent Headrick leads the league in wins (6), ERA (1.05), and strikeouts (55) in six conference games.
Evansville Purple Aces (23-25, 10-8 MVC)
The Purple Aces head into the last week of play losing their most recent contest at Belmont, 6-4. Evansville did pick up a series win over Missouri State last weekend where each game was decided by one run. The Purple Aces enter the final weekend of play with the second-best team ERA in the MVC, with two pitchers ranked in the top-15 in terms of ERA in the conference.

Illinois State leads Evansville in the all-time series, holding a 61-51-1 advantage. The Redbirds won the series last season, winning the rubber match in the series finale.
