FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Illinois State senior Trent Wallace and 2019 MVC Golfer of the Year has been named to the NCAA Division I PING All-Midwest Region squad.
Wallace, a three-time NCAA Regional qualifier and two-time MVC medalist, led the Redbirds in scoring average at 71.8 strokes per round over the 39 rounds during the season.
He had six tournaments during the 2018-19 season in which he shot under par, including a 12-under medalist finish at the USF Invitational and a six-under third-place finish at the Boilermaker Invitational.
The Joliet, Illinois, native also was named the MVC Golfer of the Week 10 times over his Redbird career, including four honors this past season. The 10 Golfer of the Week honors is most in ISU history, and is the fourth-most in MVC history.
