NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State volleyball team has announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. Below is a full run down of events going on at Redbird Arena this fall.
Game Promotions
Friday, September 13 vs. Illinois – 7:00 PM – Home Opener/Reggie's Kids Club Night
- First event in the renovated Redbird Arena, featuring new lower bowl with wider seats, cup holders and hand rails
- The first 300 students will receive a t-shirt in the newly located student section at the north end of the arena.
Friday, September 27 vs. Missouri State – 6:00 PM – Pack the Arena
- Free admission for all fans
- The first 150 students will receive a t-shirt
Saturday, September 28 vs. Southern Illinois – 5:00 PM – MCCA Night
- The Mid Central Community Action (MCCA) is a local non-profit organization focused on bettering and improving the Bloomington-Normal community
- October is Stand Up With Me Month – help shed light on Domestic Violence Awareness at this kick-off event
- Illinois State head coach Leah Johnson received the 2019 Innovator Award Recipient from the organization
Friday, October 18 vs. Loyola Chicago – 6:00 PM – Hoopfest
- Free admission for all fans
- Men's and women's basketball will host the annual Hoopfest season tip-off event immediately following the conclusion of the match
Friday, November 1 vs. Bradley – 6:00 PM
- Students can bring a shirt from another university to exchange for an ISU shirt, courtesy of University Program Board
- Value ticket pack includes a volleyball & football general admission ticket to the game on November 2 vs. UNI for $20
Saturday, November 9 vs. Drake – 5:00 PM – Family Game Night
- Compete in games and competitions with your family throughout the night
- Family four ticket packs for $40 include 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 bags of chips and 4 sodas
- Additional tickets available for $10
Saturday, November 23 vs. Evansville – 5:00 PM – Senior Night/Future Redbirds Night
- Celebrate our seniors, Monica Miller and Ella Francis, in a post-match ceremony
- Reggie's Kids Club members will receive a Red Alert t-shirt (while supplies last, sizing is limited)
Season-Long Promotions
Flex Ticket Pack
- This ticket pack gives fans the flexibility to pick and choose how they use their tickets. The Flex Pack comes with 10 tickets that can be used any way you choose. Ten tickets at one match, one ticket at ten matches, it's up to you!
Ball Girls
- Illinois State volleyball is looking for youth volleyball teams to be ball girls for home matches this season. Youth volleyball teams will have the opportunity to be a part of the gameday experience by shagging balls during the match.
- If your team is interested in being ball girls for a match this season, contact Russell Susuki via email (at_rssusuk@ilstu.edu) or phone (309-438-3399). Youth teams must be 8th grade or younger. This experience is limited to one team per game and scheduling is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Saturday Special
- Be sure to head to the concession stand on select Saturdays for the special of the night:
- September 14 vs. Central Florida – $3 Small Popcorn and Small Soda combo
- September 28 vs. Southern Illinois – $1 Popcorn
- October 19 vs. Valparaiso – $1 Nachos
- November 23 vs. Evansville – $3 Hot Chocolate Bar
Red & White
- Show your Redbird pride by wearing the same color as the team at home matches this season:
- Friday – White
- Saturday – Red
Post-Match Autographs
- Get your Redbird gear signed by the 2019 Redbirds after the following matches:
- Saturday, October 19 vs. Valparaiso – 5:00 PM
- Saturday, November 9 vs. Drake – 5:00 PM
High-Five Tunnel
Before the start of every match, kids of all ages are invited to participate in the high-five tunnel. Greet the team with high fives as they run out on the court.
