NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State volleyball team announced on Thursday that its annual Red & White intrasquad scrimmage will be played at University High School in Normal, Illinois, on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m., before traveling to DePaul for an exhibition match the following Saturday.
Due to the on-going renovations at Redbird Arena, fans will get the opportunity to preview the 2019 squad ahead of this year's Fan Fair (Aug. 17) at University High School, located on ISU's campus. The Redbirds will begin warmups at 12 p.m. with first serve slated for 1 p.m. Parking is available for fans directly south of University High School.
The following Saturday, ISU will head north for an exhibition match at DePaul (Aug. 24) to wrap up its preseason training. First serve between the Redbirds and the Blue Demons is set for 1:30 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena in Chicago. This will be the second-straight year that ISU and DePaul meet in exhibition play ahead of their regular-seasons.
Illinois State finished the 2018 campaign with a 25-8 record, Missouri Valley Conference Regular-Season Championship title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in Leah Johnson's second season at the helm of the program. The Redbirds will look to continue its tradition of success in 2019, as they open the regular season at the North Texas Invitational in Denton, Texas, Aug. 30-31. ISU's home opener is set for Sept. 13 at 7 p.m., when it renews its rivalry with Illinois as a part of the Redbird Classic.
PURCHASE TICKETS
General admission adult season tickets are available for just $50. Children 12 years old and younger can receive free admission to all regular-season home contests with a Reggie's Kids Club membership card. Children can be registered for free on the club's website. Season ticket holders making a $100 contribution to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund will receive a complimentary parking pass. The pass is valid for the 2019 volleyball season and located in the F62 lot outside the east entrance of Redbird Arena. Fans interested in purchasing new season tickets, and current season ticket holders wishing to renew, can visit GoRedbirds.com/tickets or call the ISU Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000.
Single-game tickets may also be purchased through the ticket office, as youth tickets are just $5 and tickets for adults are $10.
