NORMAL, Ill. – Current Illinois State students will have a special opportunity to interact with the Redbird football program, when it hosts the inaugural Sunday Night Lights event at Hancock Stadium on August 25.
The event, which runs from 6-7 p.m., is FREE to all Illinois State students. At the event, participants will interact with Redbird football student athletes, hear from a member of the coaching staff about the upcoming season, and enjoy free food and DJ music thanks to the Student Government Association (SGA) at Illinois State.
Students will be asked to sign a waiver and then can participate in the rotation of football activities. Some of those stations include throwing with the quarterbacks, tackling with the linebackers, and attempting field goals with the kickers among others. After the activity rotations, all participants will be invited to the south end zone for free DP dough (thanks to SGA) and poster autographs from the team.
