FLORENCE, Italy – In Illinois State men's basketball's final full day in the city of Florence, it took in more of the wonderful culture the city has to offer by way of a guided bike tour, before taking time to look at the world-famous Statue of David and other incredible works at the Accademia Gallery.

The morning opened with the bike tour which took the Redbirds and their guests around the town in groups of 10 as everyone involved was able to get a first-hand view of the beauty of the city.
"It was awesome," said sophomore Taylor Bruninga about the bike tour. "Especially on a bike you can see a lot more than walking. The river runs right through the city, and it was awesome seeing that and all of the churches and structures."
After lunch the squad took in the Accademia Gallery, of which its most prized work is Michelangelo's Statue of David.
"It is amazing to see all of the artwork and how old it is," said freshman Abdou Ndiaye about the Accademia Gallery. "Another thing was how big the statue was. I was amazed by the statue and the work that they put in to make it a long time ago. It was impressive to see that. Everyone on the team was amazed to see it."
The Redbirds pack up and travel west to Treviso in the morning and have an 8 p.m. contest on Thursday evening against LCC International for ISU's final game of the Italy trip.
