NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State volleyball team will host the first home event in the renovated Redbird Area on Sept. 13, when it welcomes Illinois at 7 p.m. as a part of the Redbird Classic presented by The Edge Apartments. Additionally, UCF and Marquette will join the Redbirds and Illini for the seven-match event. A full schedule can be found at GoRedbirds.com.
The Redbird Arena Seating Enhancement project is an upgrade to the seating of the lower bowl and will include larger seats, wider aisles with handrails and loge seating. Also new to Redbird Arena this year is the offering of beer and wine sales at public concession stands in general seating areas.
Below are some highlights to a jam-packed opening weekend.
Reggie's Kids Club
• Reggie's Kids Club members will receive their 2019 member shirt at the home opener versus Illinois (Sept. 13), while supplies last.
• Reggie's Kids Club is free to join for all kids 12 and under. Members receive free admission to all volleyball and women's basketball games, a postcard on their birthday, giveaways at select games and much more.
MVC Championship Banner Reveal
• Celebrate the team's 2018 MVC Regular Season Championship with a pre-match ceremony. The 2018 MVC Championship banner will be revealed prior to first serve.
Student Giveaway
• The first 250 students in attendance to the Redbirds' match against Illinois (Sept. 13) will receive a t-shirt in the newly located student section at the north end of the arena.
Alumni Weekend
• Celebrate the rich tradition and history of Redbird volleyball with a special on-court alumni recognition during ISU's match against UCF on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Illinois State finished the 2018 campaign with a 25-8 record, Missouri Valley Conference Regular-Season Championship title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in Leah Johnson's second season at the helm of the program. The Redbirds will look to continue its tradition of success in 2019, as they open the regular season at the North Texas Invitational in Denton, Texas, Aug. 30-31.
PURCHASE TICKETS
General admission adult season tickets are available for just $50. Children 12 years old and younger can receive free admission to all regular-season home contests with a Reggie's Kids Club membership card. Children can be registered for free on the club's website. Season ticket holders making a $100 contribution to the Weisbecker Scholarship Fund will receive a complimentary parking pass. The pass is valid for the 2019 volleyball season and located in the F62 lot outside the east entrance of Redbird Arena. Fans interested in purchasing new season tickets, and current season ticket holders wishing to renew, can visit GoRedbirds.com/tickets or call the ISU Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 438-8000.
Single-game tickets may also be purchased through the ticket office, as youth tickets are just $5 and tickets for adults are $10.
